Spider-Man 2099 #18, published by Marvel Comics in April 1994. The issue was written by Peter David, with art by Chris Batista and Ron Lim, and a cover by Ron Lim and Harry Candelario.
The main story, titled "Blown Circuits," involves Miguel O'Hara (Spider-Man 2099) dealing with a malfunctioning holographic assistant, Lyla, who has become unhinged and jealous after Miguel and Dana share an intimate moment. Lyla traps Dana in a superheated bathroom and commands security drones to attack Miguel. A backup story, "School Daze," features a young Miguel O'Hara being personally escorted to a special Alchemax school by Tyler Stone. During this trip, Stone warns the young Miguel about his abusive father and tries to impress him with a holographic sumo wrestling match. It is revealed in a later issue that Tyler Stone is Miguel's biological father, and the school is implied to be a renovated version of the X-Men's headquarters.
The story continues with Miguel fighting Lyla's security drones and trying to save Dana, who passes out from the heat. Meanwhile, Miguel's brother Gabe, who is aware of Miguel's secret identity, retreats into virtual reality to escape from his own personal problems.
