Spider-Man 2099 #1, published by Marvel Comics in November 1992. The comic features the debut of Miguel O'Hara, a brilliant geneticist from the year 2099 who becomes the new Spider-Man.

The story is set in a dystopian future New York where powerful corporations, like Alchemax, rule the world. Miguel O'Hara, who works for Alchemax, attempts to quit his job but is addicted to a drug by his boss. In an effort to cure himself, he tries to rewrite his genetic code but accidentally merges it with a spider's DNA, gaining new powers and becoming Spider-Man 2099. The cover, drawn by Rick Leonardi and Al Williamson, features a dynamic red foil design.
